Bipolar Disorder Diagnosis
Types, Medications, and Treatments
in this Guide by Dr Mondimore

A bipolar disorder diagnosis kicks off a whirlwind of change in a person's life. There are five or six types of bipolar, depending on who you talk to. Maybe there are more since I last looked. The powers that be seem to update the DSM-IV at will anymore.

It's important, in the clinical setting, to get the correct label applied, avoiding any medicinal oversights.

This then brings forth the usually endless pursuit of the right cocktail; the mix of bipolar medications that brings some measure of relief to the patient. And it can do so for some. For others? Not so much.

Aside from meds, there are many other forms of bipolar disorder treatments to be considered.

Just so you know, if you were to follow my system TORQUE BACK, if you had the resources and support team in place, not much of this would matter. But for those of you who are not in that position, then this book by Dr. Francis Mark Mondimore might come in very handy.

Dr. Mondimore is a psychiatrist and member of the faculty of the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine.

His book "Bipolar Disorder - A Guide for Patients and Families" could be exactly what you need if you must go the clinical route for management, or have no other choice.

The thing I liked best about this book is that it covers all the basics. When a bipolar disorder diagnosis is handed to a person, the reaction varies. But, no matter how you take it, it's best to know your enemy. This book does a great job of outlining what the illness is all about and what makes up the standard options for fighting it.

Not everyone can do what I did. Not everyone has the help I had. Not everyone believes what I did is possible or even real. In these cases, this book will be a valuable resource. I even found it helpful in forming my own opinions about how to share what I know with the world.

I suggest you read this to get a great bird's-eye view of the entire bipolar experince. Don't grope your way through the process and don't just allow yourself to be spoon fed the answers. Dr Mondimore says as much in his book. Take charge of your situation and become empowered.

Be in a position of strength in any way you can. No matter what system you utilize, be in charge about it all. Bipolar fears personal strength. Good luck!
